Personal Experience
Dr. Kola Ilesanmi is a Certified Management Consultant, Chartered Accountant, and a Finance expert. He has a Ph.D. in management with a specialization in finance from Walden University, USA. He also holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria, a Master of Business Administration from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and a Post Graduate Diploma (Business Administration) from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos, Nigeria.
Dr. Ilesanmi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria (FIMC), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (ACMA), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Dr. Ilesanmi has a combined working experience of over thirty years in the financial services, not-for-profit, construction, oil & gas, and consulting industries. He has skills in financial analysis and reporting, treasury management, budget and budgeting control, project management, due diligence, merger and acquisition, management consulting, and joint venture operations.
Professional Experience
Dr. Ilesanmi started his corporate career with ACEN Insurance Company PLC, Lagos, Nigeria in 1993 as an Accounts Officer. He was a Financial Controller at Standard Life Assurance Company Limited in 2001 and an Assistant General Manager, Finance at Capital Express Group (Capital Express Insurance Company Limited & Capital Express Securities Limited) between 2003 and 2007. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance PLC, Lagos, Nigeria between 2007 and 2010.
Dr. Ilesanmi was Manager, Treasury & Financial Reporting at Fort McKay Nation, Canada, the Vice President Operations of Global Wealth Accounting, Canada, and the Managing Partner of Topelar Consulting Inc., Canada. He was a faculty member at Capilano University, School of Business in Canada between September 2019 and October 2023
